2023 - 2024
Mini Courses on May 3rd and May 10th were appreciated by our students. Members of the community came to do workshops on everything from e-sports to law enforcement to animal care and various arts.
Pre-Kindergarten students try out the smaller of two sensory walls donated to the school. They were part of an Eagle Scout project and have already seen a fair bit of use!
The fourth grade class washes and dries LEGO parts for the Great LEGO ReGifting. (If you know of someone who needs a special holiday LEGO delivery this week, please email Mr. Ford or call the school.)
The whole student body joined Mr. Clement for the tree lighting in front of school.
The second grade class delivered the food donations collected by our school in our 2023 food drive to Loaves and Fishes in Ellsworth!
Students in costumes stand outside the school building for the Halloween Costume Parade. Parents and well-wishers drove through the parking lot to see all the great costumes!
Author Kim Ridley visited Surry Elementary School to share her books and lead writing workshops. Here she talks with students about some of the characters from her books.
Mrs. Weed, along with Darling's Ice Cream for a Cause truck - help out at the car wash to benefit the Rosanna's Readers program at Surry.

Fourth graders sharpen their logical thinking skills playing chess. Whether new to the game or junior chess masters, all are welcome to give it a try!
