Backpack Program

The Backpack Program is happy to offer the Surry Children's Backpack Food Program annually to all students and their siblings at the Surry Elementary School. The program provides food for the weekend, which will usually be delivered to the school for pick up on Fridays. In the case of holidays, the food will be distributed on the last school day before the holiday.

The food is generally non-perishable and consists of the following typical items: cold cereal, tuna fish, soup, macaroni & cheese, rice, canned pasta, microwaveable meals, fresh fruit, snacks, and fruit juice or drinks. 

 

If your child has a particular food allergy, or for health reason cannot have certain food, please let us know. 

 

Enrollment is on a rolling basis throughout the year. Fill out the form linked below and return it to the Front Office.
